The ideas and helper hints in this book were useful! Got me thinking about what I needed to improve my indoor photography and also informed me of tools I could use to enhance my photos (on site). Overall this book was very informative.

David is one of my favorite wedding photographers so I new his book was going to be great. I very seldom buy a book any more with out looking at it as their are so many out their I could have written and done a better job on. David is full of info and does not mind sharing and giving new insight. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to improve their photography. Larry

This book will make you a better wedding photographer. Notice I said will, not might. David is a great photographer and has a lifetime of experience. He’s put every possible situation into this book. If you’ve ever shot a wedding, you know what unpredictable events they can be. Reading this book will give you a firm foundation on how to handle all of the basic and complicated scenarios you are likely to encounter. Remember though, it gives you a foundation to be a good wedding photographer. You need to practice, review your work, and practice some more in order to get better. No book can replace that path. Photographing a wedding is like driving a formula one race car, you don’t have much time to think, you need to know what to do, this book tells you what to do, it’s still up to you to do it. I highly recommend this book.

This is by far the best wedding book you can buy. If you are not a wedding photographer then this book will show you how to “get it right” when it comes to low light or flash photogaphy. It is great for those who want to shoot indoors without that “flashy” look. I went to David Ziser’s New Dawn seminar and this book just fortified what I learned at his workshop. It’s enjoyable to read and easy to understand. David gives you the info you need without leaving you to figure half the technique like some writers.I am so glad I got this book and it also is a great reference for those hard to light situations. I’m now reading this book for the second time, because there is SO much awesome information in it. I’m sure I’ll read it another ten times and practice most of it. It is truly the BEST wedding photography book I own. I have shot plenty of weddings, but I learned SO much from this book and from attending David’s seminar.
There’s not much more I can say about this book that hasn’t already been written in other reviews. Basically, if you are thinking of shooting weddings – GET THIS BOOK. If you just started shooting weddings – GET THIS BOOK. If you’ve been shooting weddings for several years – GET THIS BOOK. Even those who have shot weddings for many years – I think there’s still something you could learn (so, maybe just borrow the book, lol).
Thanks again, David! You and Scott Kelby are my absolute FAVORITE photography authors, and I have learned so much from both of you!
